Innovative Bulgarian cargo delivery drone company Dronamics has announced the successful completion of the first test flight of its fully-ready prototype The Black Swan aircraft last month at Balchik Airport. This demonstrates the potential that the logistics industry has to increase efficiency in transporting products.

The technology was created by two brothers Svilen Rangelov - executive director and Konstantin Rangelov - technical director of the Dronamics company, who had the desire to find a faster, greener and more affordable way to deliver goods, "Dronamics" has set out to achieve same-day delivery anywhere, and the milestone is the result of months of ground testing and testing of smaller aircraft.

The Black Swan aircraft was piloted remotely by two commercial aircraft pilots from the Dronamics ground control station.

The first flight lasted 10 minutes and 27 seconds, with an average speed of about 140 kilometers per hour. The device rose to a height of about 610 meters.
"Black Swan" can carry 350 kilograms over a distance of up to 2,500 kilometers, which is 80 percent faster, 50 percent cheaper and 60 percent less emissions than alternative modes of transport, including air transport.

The successful test flight validates the licensed cargo drone technology for commercial flights in Europe, which will launch later in the year and serve various industries with a fast and cost-effective solution to meet growing consumer needs.

"Since the day we first envisioned what a Black Swan would look like, we have been working to make this flight happen. Today, we have made history and are proud to have demonstrated the validity of our drone technology," stated the co-founder and CEO of "Dronamics" Konstantin Rangelov.

"It took a tremendous amount of work, faith and determination to prove that what we envisioned works. Now we can focus on our next step—rolling out our commercial operations—and we couldn't be more excited than we are right now," he says.

Dronamics can become a leading developer and operator of long-range drones designed specifically for cargo.
